Once, when I was young, I walked into the Catholic cathedral in Seville, Spain. I had been looking forward to that moment for days. There was, even, the tiny prayer of a tiny boy so that God would keep clouds from gathering and rain from falling. When I arrived, dry and with a clear sky that allowed the sun to brighten every detail of the structure in front of me, I could not contain my excitement. I was star-struck not by a famous figure or an infamous story, but by the simplicity of the interior before me. I had crossed, I felt, into another world. A world simple yet intricate beyond my naive sense of understanding. I will never forget that moment; it was burned in my mind by the flames of grandiosity.

I felt the very same sense of awe when I read this post.
